~ The Soul ~
Duality
The concept of “duality” refers to something’s being of two natures. One might, for example, state that there is good and evil, black and white, yin and yang, you and your neighbor, God and man, and so on. The term “soul” is loosely used to describe the essence of “individuality”. Individuality goes hand-in-hand with the concept of duality because here one is deemed separate from all else, God included - there is you and all that is not you.
This prospect is outrageous, and indeed the strictest of illusions, for nothing could be further from the truth. You see, for God to be God in the first place, It would have to be everything and not lacking in anything to any degree. The Truth is that the Purest Essence of all things, yourself and myself included, is none other than Transcendence. This is the Ultimate Truth, for nothing can transcend Transcendence. This is Buddha.
You may well find the concept of “Nothingness” strange and even meaningless. And that’s just the point – it has no meaning, for if it had, it would be something. But how can one's purest essence be Nothingness? All things are but manifestations of greater forms, and those greater forms, in turn, are manifestations of yet greater ones. There are primarily three types of expressions of Oneself. They are:
| Transcendence expresses Itself as Consciousness |
| Consciousness expresses Itself as Energy |
| Energy expresses itself as Creation |
Any form is a projection/reflection of its higher form. So, in this way, the lower form is a corruption of the higher form. Corruption comes about through expression, for the meaning of expression is corruption. When a form expresses itself, that which is expressed only represents the original form – it is the original form itself corrupted or warped. Since anything expressed is a corruption of the original form, that which is expressed is always an illusion, since it is not the original form. Ones Purest Essence therefore is that which was never expressed by some other higher essence. Now, since Will is not an expression of anything, It is one’s Purest Essence, the meaning of which is Transcendence (Endless Nothingness). It is totally pure, not corrupt in any way – transcending All.
Since God is everything, to talk in terms of individuality is sheer nonsense. Absolutely speaking, individuality simply does not exist at all. Soul is thus an illusion. The only Truth is Transcendence. Its manifestations, through the action of Will, the Creator, are but illusions.
Since the term soul represents “individuality”, man has many souls. Amongst them are:
| Soul as Consciousness (God) | ||||||
| Soul as Energy (The Cosmos) | ||||||
| Soul as worldly/lower self (the personality – all that is oneself here on earth) | ||||||
| Soul as the mental body | ||||||
| Soul as the higher mind | ||||||
| Soul as the middle mind | ||||||
| Soul as the lower mind | ||||||
| Soul as the emotional (astral) aspect | ||||||
| Soul as the ethereal aspect | ||||||
| Love = Self/God | ||||||
| Joy = Heaven | ||||||
| All other emotions = All the other planes between Hell and Heaven | ||||||
| Fear = Hell (earth-like space/time here) | ||||||
| Soul as the primary chakras | ||||||
| Soul as the Crown Chakra | ||||||
| Soul as the Brow Chakras | ||||||
| Soul as the Throat Chakra | ||||||
| Soul as the Heart Chakra | ||||||
| Soul as the Solar Plexus Chakra | ||||||
| Soul as the Navel Chakra | ||||||
| Soul as the Root Chakra | ||||||
| Soul as the brain | ||||||
| Soul as the subtle chakras | ||||||
Just as it is incorrect to say, “I am the body”, so too is it incorrect to say, “I am the ethereal body”. Likewise, just as it is incorrect to say, “I am the astral body”, so too is it incorrect to say, “I am the mind”. In the same way, as it is incorrect to say, “I am the personality”, so too is it incorrect to say, “I am the Cosmos”, or “I am Mind”. Similarly, it is incorrect to state “I am Consciousness”, or what people understand to be “God”. Positively, it is incorrect to claim, “I am an individual being”. There is no “I” when it comes to one's True Nature. For Truth has no form, no identity, for that which exists is but an expression – the meaning of corruption and illusion. Truth is not subject to anything - not even to existence. The nature of Truth then, is Transcendence. This is one's Purest Essence.
The Three Soul Types
Man has three different types of embodiments that both define and entrap him into the illusive concept of an individual being, each in a different way:
| Soul as Personality (Lower Self) |
| Soul as Energy (Higher Self) |
| Soul as Consciousness (God Self) |
Lower Self
The first type of soul is the personality, which is the embodiment known as your “lower self”. The personality is all that is you here on planet earth. It is thus the sum total of ones incarnation. Not only is it the embodiment of all the experiences of ones incarnation, but it is itself the incarnation. The personality consists of the following aspects:
| The mental aspect |
| The emotional aspect |
| The ethereal aspect |
| The physical aspect |
The lower self is all that which fully defines an individual human being here on earth. This type of soul is merely a package of all human incarnate consciousness. It is what I term the “incarnate mind”. The consciousness attained via the brain is the individual soul – the sum of all experiences. It is all that is your earthly self. It is what fully defines you as your own person. It is thus affectionately referred to as your “personality”. It dies when your incarnation ends.
That without individual consciousness is not separate from God, but realized to be not only full expressions of It, but to completely embody the fullness of God. For example, the members of the plant and mineral kingdoms that possess only spirit are realized to be blatant full expressions of God. Man is too, though this is not yet realized. Plants and rocks have no individuality and thus no souls. In this way then, they are not deemed as separate from God. All that which has its own individual consciousness is individual and thus deemed separate from God. As previously stated, it is the mind alone that separates man from God. Since Satan represents individuality, Satanism is not the way to go, other than to indulge fully in one's incarnation, while knowing and appreciating the meaning of its Lie.
Higher Self
The second type of soul is pure energy - the Cosmos or Mind, personified as your “Higher Self”. This type of soul never dies – neither was it ever created. Neither does it exist, for it transcends creation. Existence only has any meaning in terms of an incarnation (creation).
What beholds the Higher Self is a center of consciousness divorced from the brain and its mind. This center is separate from all that is known, reality included and knows of the Higher Self only from outside of Creation. For man, only the Crown Chakra state of consciousness will initially reveal one as the Higher Self. Thereafter, the third type of Soul, called “God” is made known as Oneself. It is at this point that there is nothing other than Oneself. When it comes time for the brain to “reflect” upon your Higher Self, the best it can do is attempt to align itself with Mind, the Cosmos, and embrace the results.
God Self
The third type of soul is pure Consciousness, personified as your “God Self”. I refer to Consciousness as “Self / God”* because, for man, this would be what he calls “God”. But even the notion of “God” is an illusion, because not only does it imply individuality, but Consciousness itself is but an expression of Will, and not Will Itself. The notion of Self/God is covered at length in the next chapter.
* When I refer to “Self”, I am not referring to your True Self (which Eastern scriptures call Atma), I am referring only to the illusionary Self called “Consciousness”.
Again, to talk in terms of “Self” is a strict error. One’s Purest Essence, Will, has no individuality whatsoever, for it is in no way an expression. It is Transcendence.
Spirit vs. Soul
Spirit is the personification of “energy”, whilst soul the personification of “consciousness”. This is why soul is the meaning of “individuality”. Spirit is thus the essence of existence, whilst soul the essence of being. Although consciousness gives rise to energy, energy is purer since it does not represent the notion of individuality as does consciousness. Soul is thus the strictest of illusions, for consciousness was the first to break away from Will – so Great the Rebellion - so Great the Illusion!
Spirit is the personification of “energy”. It can be seen as the manifestation of God – manifest as all things. It is therefore not true to say that the spirit of God is in every living, breathing creature. What is actually being referred to here is breath, or the spark of consciousness. What is being referred to is intelligence and to whatever degree, the individual soul. Spirit (the spirit of God) is everything and thus everywhere. So spirit does not live inside the body, but manifests the body through a projection and likewise sustains it for a time.
When God presents Itself in a particular way – such as a plant for example, this is spirit. A tree is spirit. So to is a rock or an idea. Even inert man-made objects are all spirits - computer monitors, cars, pens, and so on. Spirit, then, is really the essence of existence. So if something exists, it is spirit. A microwave oven for example, though man-made, is a manifestation of God; for God manifests as everything, and is not lacking in anything to any degree.
Can you tease it?
A good practical test to gauge if an entity has a soul, is simply to see if you can tease it. If you can tease it, it most certainly has a soul, for it objects to your intrusion on the illusive individuality that it so fervently hankers after. It even objects openly and proudly for the whole world to see, so great its objection!
Soul is Individuality
Soul is akin to individuality, whilst spirit to non-individuality:
| Soul = Individuality |
| Spirit = Non-individuality |
One's individuality (soul) can be more acutely realized as a result of one's own realizations of the various manifestations of God. Everything that one sees for example, are but expressions (spirits) of God. During life, the aging of the physical body and even our very thoughts manifest as countless spirits. These are all full presentations of God. It is in this way that the soul becomes known to greater and greater measure to be representative of God. It is for this reason that people view God to be the one and only single entity (individual) with nothing outside of It. This is the meaning of soul. This is the greatest form of "God" that man can possibly hold in view. It is the embodiment of the purest form of consciousness. Greater than consciousness however, is Transcendence - the purest essence of Oneself. This is the actual meaning of Atma referred to in Eastern scriptures. This is Buddha.
Self-Attainment
The soul represents attainment of Self / God. The extent of the soul is in direct proportion to the degree of the attainment. So the extent of attainment defines one as individual – the strictest of errors. Individuality is a complete error for the meaning of Truth is Transcendence and not projection/expression/corruption.
Soul is all consciousness attained. This is the meaning of man. All consciousness not yet attained is what man knows to be "God".
| Attained Consciousness = man |
| Unattained Consciousness = God |
That which is attained by the consciousness that brings on the world is one's carnal self. That which is not yet attained, such as other galaxies, worlds, dimensions, the mind of another person, the cat next door, a car driving by, is, in error, considered to be outside of oneself. This can collectively be termed "God".
The “Path” to Self-Attainment
The process of becoming Oneself is the “path” of self-attainment. This “path” has no beginning and no end. It is therefore not even correct to think in terms of a path, where one “progresses” along the way. The “path” is but a series of appreciations of Oneself. These “appreciations” are each incarnations spawned from out of one's consciousness to the nature and extent of one's carnal desire.
It is positively not true that the soul evolves across many lifetimes, getting nearer and nearer to God. This is only the view of the mind, which is itself of glamour. The truth is that we are already Ourselves. The attainment of Oneself is not a Journey. It is not the case that the soul learns, evolves, grows and becomes more mature and knowledgeable across many lifetimes. No, it is strictly a moment eternal, when a man becomes Himself. That is why any man can in this very lifetime come to a full realization that he is the complete embodiment of God. There is no effort, no thought, no action. Just before the point of attainment, there is only realization. Upon attainment, though, there is nothing, for one is Transcendence - the meaning of Will.
When one fails to be Oneself, one has a distorted view of the absolute. This is what produces the type of Consciousness (soul) that gave rise to our incarnate selves in the first place. One can then, in error, consider oneself as an individually encapsulated being, separate from all else. One can also reflect upon and embrace all manner of being - creation being but the most prevalent in an incarnation. One can thus create concepts such as space and time, good and evil, the spirit world and one's various bodies, along with all manner of dimension (means of consideration) and incarnation (products of those means). All this is indeed illusion. For the only Truth is Transcendence.
The Soul Expressed
One's incarnation is but an expression of individuality. It is therefore an expression of the soul. Since one’s incarnation is an expression of the soul, the soul is always exactly what and where it wants to be – for it expresses itself as such – an incarnation. It wanted to be here, and so it incarnated. The incarnation itself is the soul’s choice to exist in a certain way. It is the formless taking on form through a corruption in consciousness. This is manifest consciousness - consciousness expressed in a particular way. This type of soul is the embodiment of energy called the “Higher Self”, and its expression, creation/the personality. This is the “lower self”.
As far as the soul is concerned, it will experience whatever it wishes. This reality is but an indulgence of the soul as it experiences itself more fully, expressed here on earth in terms of an incarnation. The soul projects (corrupts) itself as the form of the reality of this world and those of the Spiritual Kingdoms. This is the personality - the interplay between the physical, ethereal, emotional and mental aspects to Oneself. It does this so that the resultant consciousness can objectively represent an understanding of this energy. When understood, this energy is known to be Life/Love. The illusion of an incarnation is there only to objectively point to the greater truths that bring it on. It is in this way that consciousness can only be known through a corruption in consciousness. It is in this way alone that man has the propensity to begin to know of “God”.
And so the Higher Self incarnates as the lower self in order to enrich Itself. Because the Higher Self is Eternal and unchanging, this “enriching” only occurs as far as the “lower self” is concerned. As far as the Higher Self is concerned, its enrichment is taking place perpetually and eternally (to the extent that it transcends the lower form). The two need each other for either to have meaning, just as God needs man and man God.
The Heart
The heart is the means (dimension) through which Self/God is realized (made known to man). The resultant perceptions (realizations) are constituent components of the soul itself. The soul is thus a series of realizations (enlightenments).
|
Heart
& Soul
|
![]() |
| Perceptions of God occur only as a result of the means to perceive God. These means are collectively known as the “heart”. The heart thus holds the various ways (dimensions D1 through Dn) through which the individual can know God. The respective realizations (R1 through Rn) of these dimensions are what constitute the soul. |
The heart is individualistic and separate from everything else, for each heart has its own way of seeing God, producing a soul by how God is seen. The heart is thus how one sees Self. It is for this reason that the soul itself is individual and is the strictest, most accurate meaning of the term “individual”. The heart is all that you have with which to see Self/God. That is why you have to discover for yourself your own heart, your own truth, your own Self, in order to eventually become Yourself.
As we see God, so too do we become. If a man’s heart is pure he will see God in Truth. He will see God as everything. Such a man is God, for he is Himself.
God needs Souls
Through creating souls curious about God, God recursively discovers Itself. It is for this very reason that God gets “more and more” powerful, and souls are but instruments to this end. God is only as powerful as the appreciation of It. If no one appreciated God, God would simply not be, just as if one cannot see God expressed as everything then God simply would not be this. Herein lies a Great Truth:
The nature of
God
Is the recognition
of Self.
If one cannot recognize Self, there is no God. The recognition itself is soul, the strictest of illusions, there only to single out God, the Greater Truth.
The Soul – a Collection of Realizations
The soul is a collection of appreciations, known as “realizations”. The soul is thus, for the individual, the presentation of God to Man. Since the only presentation of God to man is the present moment, the soul is itself the present moment, identified as the personality. Any realization therefore “contributes” toward making a person that person.
A person looking at a chair for example has this activity realized. Looking at the chair contributes to that person's essence – the fact that the person is looking at the chair. This is why such a realization is adopted into what man has come to understand to be his own life. The realization itself helps “make up” the soul. The soul is therefore the encapsulation of all that is realized. This is after all the meaning of the attainment of consciousness.
Realizations of God create souls that encapsulate the essence of God each to their own respective degrees. It is for this very reason that souls differ from each other – coming across as distinct personalities. These are the dimensions of God.
All that is realized only adds to the soul. All that which is not realized is, by definition, deemed “outside of the soul” and is thus currently pure illusion. This is man’s view of God, for it holds that God is all that which is not man. This is why not a single man can say, "Here is God", for by definition, what man expects God to be, turns out to be but an illusion. This is why the mental activity of faith is required to get a person to really believe that they know God. No man can know God as an entity to be known, for he is already the full embodiment of God.
For the incarnate individual, the concept of God is but an illusion; for all that there appears to be is oneself here in the world. It is for this very reason that God is unknown, aloof, and supreme in the first place and why man invents religions to try and come to grips with his own made-up concept of “God”.
Good and Evil
Good and evil are but products of the subjective judgments and views of the human mind, but spiritually they are the same. That is why there is no such thing as white or black magick. Magick is magick, just like gravity is gravity. You don't get good or bad gravity. Gravity is simply gravity. Both magick and gravity are laws within the Universe. All things, good and evil, are of God, since God is the source and sustainer of all things. In Truth, since Self is God, it is Self/God that brings on one’s incarnation as a projection of Itself. The incarnation itself is the embodiment of all things, for all things are but the various ways (dimensions) through which one understands, relates to, or comes to terms with Self/God. The understanding is itself the incarnation in its totality.
Satan
Satan is included in this chapter because it is synonymous with the soul. Satan is the personification of the soul, for it represents “self” and “self-indulgence”, and therefore the very essence of “individuality”. Satan is positively not “the devil”. Neither is it Lucifer. Satan is not a Heavenly being*, but rather a concept created in the mind to represent the concept of “the soul”. Satanism is therefore the belief in “individuality”.
* It is somewhat probable that there is an alien force that many regard to be “the devil”, and that many others, in error, refer to as Satan. This force is in fact an alien being that came to this planet long before the human race arrived. This force is said to dwell deep within the earth and spawn many multi-dimensional beings that possess, abduct, torture and rape humans - driving them insane. These alien forms have down through the ages been referred to as devils or demons, and their effects on humans as “demon possession” and “demon oppression”. Positively, these are not to be associated with Satan – the embodiment of individuality.
The most common, ignorant view on Satan has it that Satan is evil and solely responsible for all the evil that happens, not only in this world, but everywhere else too. This is sheer nonsense. Only God is responsible, for God is responsible for all things. If this were not so then God would simply not be God.
For God to be all-powerful, everything, and in control of all things, God would have to be responsible for evil too, and would also have to be the concept of evil itself. If people refuse to accept that God is responsible for good as well as evil then their whole concept of God is severely biased and warped, and they have no true concept of the meaning of God at all.
It’s strange that people view Satan to be independent of God. They claim that God is all-powerful, everywhere and everything, yet at the same time state that Satan, and not God, is evil and responsible for evil. They won't even acknowledge that God is in control of Satan, yet they believe God to be in control of all things. People really need to settle on a definition of God and stick to it. Either God is all-powerful, or It isn't!
Prince of this World
Some understand Satan to be the “Prince of this world”. Satan is not an individual. It’s a concept - “Prince of this world”. It’s the essence of this world. It's actually the world itself. It’s the name given to nature, its laws and the forces behind those laws, whether understood or not. These forces translate into the gods of some religions and specifically the God and Goddess in Wicca. Satan is thus the embodiment of one’s incarnation that manifests this world and its associate laws. Science and Satan are thus one and the same.
Since Satanism is the belief in “individuality”, it is widespread in the world, for almost every single person in this world regards himself or herself to be an individual being, separate from everyone else. It is in this way then, that Satan can be viewed as being that which separates and continues to separate man from God, and so then, is positively not the way to go! Satan itself is what brings on the whole world as one's incarnation. When a normal person looks about them in this world they see chairs, tables, walls, cars and so on. The concept called “Satan” is the sole cause of this illusion. It is the concept of individuality. This is the meaning of Satan.
We must stay clear of the concept of any kind of individuality (Satan). We must therefore be totally detached from the desires that spawn incarnations. For if we do not, the world (as Satan) will come again and again and again as fresh incarnations.
Satan as Soul
Satan is the essence or meaning of the soul. “Soul”, “Satan”, and “individuality” can thus be used interchangeably, for they all mean the same thing. Satan is the essence of self-indulgence. It represents the freedom and latitude of the individual. The whole point to self-indulgence, self-obsession, and arrogance is to create and sustain substance. This is the substance of oneself expressed as an eternal moment, which can be viewed or understood to be the individual soul. This is to know Self and to become Self as the complete embodiment of consciousness. This is Satan.
Prince of Darkness
Satan is often referred to as the “Prince of Darkness”. The word “Darkness” could mean either “hidden (or occult)”, or “illusion”. So Satan could be termed the “Prince of things hidden” or the “Prince of illusion”, or the “Great Deceiver”.
In the former case, Satan represents those things unknown or hidden. This is why Satanists are largely known to be preoccupied with summoning so-called “Forces of Darkness”. All they are doing here, though, is summoning (getting into contact with) forces unbeknown to many. These forces are really extremely advanced inter-dimensional alien beings, and not Satan itself. These aliens are so unbeknown that they can, in some error, be viewed to be the embodiments of all consciousness not yet attained. For man, this is the meaning of “God”, and for this kind of a “Satanist” (one actually working with aliens), the meaning of Satan. For these kinds of “Satanists” God and Satan refer to the same concept – the concept of all consciousness not yet attained.
But Satan is not all consciousness not yet attained. It is the exact opposite. This is the situation. There is Yourself. That part of Yourself attained is Satan, your “lower self”. That part of Yourself not yet attained is “God”.
So Satan should not anyway be referred to as “The Prince of Darkness”. This should be the title reserved for the alien forces. In the past, people did not know what to called these aliens/forces and so they simply bundled them together and, in error, called them “Satan”. Satan is merely the embodiment of individuality and can thus be known to be the “Great Deceiver”. This is a correct meaning of Satan.
In the latter case Satan is indeed the “Great Deceiver” for is not the soul itself the Greatest of Illusions, since it divorces itself from the whole - from the Truth? God and Satan are most certainly not rivals. Satan, like all things, is of God, and for the Satanist, is God. As stated, Satan is another name for the soul. It represents the essence of the human individual soul, expressed as incarnate spirit - the creator and sustainer of the worlds and its associate laws. This is what the religions understand "God" to be.
Satan is the expression of the soul manifest. It is only the mind that separates the soul from God, for it, in error, hankers after Satan – the embodiment of illusion (Darkness). It is for this very reason that we each broke away from the Truth (Transcendence) and took on Illusion (form). Without the personality, there is no such thing as good and evil, God and Satan, or even the spiritual planes and their occupants. There is only Transcendence, one’s Purest Essence - the only Truth.
Lucifer
Lucifer is neither “the devil” nor Satan. It, meaning “Light Bearer” or “Light Bringer”, is the so-called “angel” of Enlightenment. Lucifer is strictly not an angel at all, but again a concept. It is that aspect of the “Higher Self” that trickles down knowledge to our “lower self” as the brain taps into Mind, the Cosmos. So Lucifer is responsible for all types of enlightenment, all scripture, and all manner of consciousness. Lucifer brings knowledge, wisdom and power. Part of the knowledge that Lucifer brings is of course the knowledge of Self. This manifests in the form of the soul, or if you like, Satan. This is one’s incarnation.
The Serpent in the Garden of Eden
The “serpent” in the “Garden of Eden” is the personification of thought. Its task is to “tempt” man by showing up alternatives in going about his existence. This occurred when man first started thinking for himself. As a result of the evolution of the brain and consequential introduction of mind, he found his own individuality, became self-conscious, and thus found and developed his own soul. This entire process is what is known as “the eating of the fruit of the Tree of knowledge of good and evil”, for because of his intelligence he invented the fanciful ideas of good and evil, right and wrong. The fruit itself is the soul.
And so the serpent showed us the way to our own souls. But in finding our own individuality, we realized, through our minds, that we fell short of the illusive concept called “God” conjured by the brain's intelligence, since, for the brain, God is consciousness not yet attained. Falling short of man’s fanciful concepts of “God”, is thus the meaning of the “Fall of Mankind”.
